  • Hose Clamps

What type hose clamps are original for a 1954 Land Cruiser? The radiator hoses have snap ring type clamps and the heater hoses have an assortment of screw tightening type clamps. Thanks for any help.

ALL of them would have been wire snap-ring clamps
EXCEPT the lower radiator hose at the water pump, and the return line for the power steering pump.
**EDIT- maybe I should expand on this ...since I know what the next question will be...

The lower radiator hose uses a band-style clamp with a slotted-head oval machine screw and square capture-nut.
The PS return hose uses a wide band-clamp similar to the above...

**Edit #2- most people use screw-clamps these days because the new heater/rad hoses have thinner walls and the original clamps will not grip the hose tight enough.

If your 54 Land Cruiser has power steering, the return hose is threaded like the pressure hose. Studebaker did not use a plainhose to the reservoir untill 57.
