I forgot how to remove the linkage from the carb and to the throttle rod at the back of the engine.

Do you pry it up, or is there a spring loaded slide that grasps the rounded gizmo at the rear of the engine?

I got a bad case of CRS

If memory serves me correctly (of course I too have CRS)... the answer is "NEITHER"!! There is a little nut on the inside of the throttle lever that the ball attaches to. The ball and the lever are one piece... though for the life of me I can't figure out how they manufactured it that way. I broke the ball off before I figure this out. The good new is that the local hardware store has replacements in several sizes. I think the hardware store is affiliated with ACE Hardware.

    Hope this helps.
