Transmission / Overdrive: Turbo-350

Have a '74 Avanti II with auto trans. There is a wire on the Middle right side What does it connect with?

If I am not mistaken that wire connects a switch in the transmission to a vacuum solenoid in the emissions system to control ignition advance. At that time there was no convertor lockup.
