I recently bought a 1948 Commander , it has aftermarket wheels spaced with washers on it which I don't like, I have the stock wheels as well, what is the width of the stock Commander rims which still have very old bias ply tires on them which is why I haven't been able to measure the width, they seem much wider than the 4 1/2" wide rims that were on my Larks

It is wide, but the tires on a 50 commander, the last year that the car used those wheels, were 7.60 X 15. Pretty big tires.Last edited by RadioRoy; 09-10-2022, 12:13 PM.RadioRoy, specializing in AM/FM conversions with auxiliary inputs for iPod/satellite/CD player.
