Cool/Heat: Radiator Bolt size

Hi everyone,

I putting together my 64 Daytona that my dad bought new in 64. It's been a total frame off restoration for the past 16 years and I am reassembling now. I'm putting the radiator support and radiator in this weekend. Could anyone tell me the screw/bolt size and thread size for the bolts that hold the radiator to the support. I can't seem to find the correct size In the parts manual and don't feel like lugging in the radiator support into the local hardware store.

Hi Steve- They are "screws" (full length threaded) and are both 5/16" UNC (18tpi) x 3/4" long . You will need six, three down either side , and they also secure the fan shroud. as well. The picture shows what I believe to be the factory fastener. If you are not using these, place a flat washer under them for good measure. Caution.... dont't overtighten these because the thread in he radiator support is flimsy. If they are indeed flogged out, try using a separate nut- maybe even weld it captive in there for convenience.
