I have removed the rear glass and polished up the molding and have install the glass and new weather-strip. Is there a good way of installing the stainless molding? Should I have installed that in the weather-strip first. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like it went together pretty easily for you. When you have a few minutes, would you give us some details on the job please? This is considered a notoriously rotten job on the early post-war cars. Any new tricks would be appreciated.

Is there any follow up on this? There was a new person at our club meeting today that is working on this now on their Land Cruiser. They are new to our world and any assistance would be a great welcoming gift.

Please help with any pointers and tricks. I have a 51 commander 2 door sedan that also needs rear window glass rubber replaced. Did it one time 10 years ago, and it did not go in right and could not get the stainless moulding in right either. Would like to try again.
