I used a pusher electric fan and no regular clutch fan. I live in VA and had no trouble keeping the car at less than 190 at idle for long periods of time during the summer. Can't say that for the clutch fan setup. -
I've never had a Avanti cool properly with a electric fan. If you are going to try, buy the biggest CFM you can find and good luck,

electic fan/door checks
Would there be an advantage to using an electric fan as a pusher or a puller in a 63 Avanti/w air. Are there problems using an electric fan in an Avanti? Does it cool enough? 2nd, does anyone have a pair of door checks for an Avanti for sale? Thank you!
