  • Fuel System: Connection from fuel tank line to pump

51 Landcruiser 232: is there supposed to be a flex line between the line from the tank to the fuel pump? Thanks

There HAS to be, due to Engine movement in the Frame.
Originally it would have had a Braided Type Flex Hose with hard line Fittings, but in 2021 we use an Adapter Fitting from threaded in the Fuel Pump, to Hose Nipple for a 6 Inch piece of 5/16" Ethanol Resistant Fuel Hose and 2 Worm Gear Screw Clamps.

A "Correct" Braided Fuel Flex Hose, if NOS would be 70 Years Old.

The flex hose with fittings is part number 189888. Should be in stock at all of the Studebaker parts stores.

I don’t think anyone is selling 70 year old fuel hoses. But there are new production ones that fit and work just fine. As shown in the photo I posted.
