Width of a Lark Rear

All Stude cars from 1953 to '66 have the same rear axle housing width.
Axle tube flange-to-flange (which is the same as saying back of backing plate-to-backing plate) is 52 1/2". That's a tape measurement, not an accurate engineering measurement.

I am not sure if it matters, but what year lark? (the reason I ask is I have a 63, and would be glad to measure it tomorrow afternoon, but I don't know if a 63 is the same as say a 59 or so.


1963 Lark Custom, 259 V8, TT, 4 doors, 2 tone paint, and garaged for the winter...I can't wait til spring!!
