  • Transmission / Overdrive: Throw out bearing, '65 Cruiser

Hi all, does anyone have a NAPA part number for the throw out bearing for my 65 Cruiser with 283 and T-86 OD? I believe the bearing will press off the collar.

    Thanks

Very strange question. The clutch release bearing moves freely on the trans. input shaft housing and should not need to be pressed off. The pic. by Dave is ?????? to quote Jack. Studebaker International has throw out bearings or clutch release bearings pn 1564753 for $45.

Folks, the actual Bearing does press off of the Special Studebaker Collar (Sleeve) and can be replaced separately IF the GM/Stude. Setup is anything like the Studebaker Throw Out Bearing Assy.

Thanks Rich, that's what I'm thinking. Pressing off the bearing like on a GM setup but I don't know if the bearings are the same. They do look similar but the Stude collar is totally
different than the ubiquitous GM style
