what is the difference .... if both have 2 electrical landing points
long verses short , od solenoids......mine is 1956

It is not about the Short or Long Tail Trans. although it was the same year.

I believe it was when the Relay was eliminated that the Solenoid and Harness went to Three Wire from Two in 1958 to '66.

both 2 wire one solenoid is short , other is long ----are interchangeable, or not

clarification please: What are you calling long / short ? The size of the solenoid or the length of the tranny body ?
