The valve covers are 1963-64 Lark or Hawk with an R1 or R2 engine. These were also sold over the counter as "engine dress-up kits." Newman & Altman had those many years ago. The only difference between these and Avanti R1/2 valve covers is Larks/Hawks have clips for the spark plug wires, while Avanti valve covers do not.
I am not certain about the valley cover. Someone else should weigh in about those. I believe it is 1963 (not 64, those were painted).

The valve covers are are for 1960 thru 1962 engines. These would have the oil fill/breather stand pipe at the front of the engine. Very early 1960 engines were the 4 bolt style. However these valve covers could be used on any 1951 thru early 1960 engine by replacing the 2 center bolts with conventional bolts thus eliminating the stud feature as used on the 4 bolt valve covers.

As you probably know all Stude. V8 Blocks are dimensionally the same, so the Lifter Covers have to FIT all years, but without the Draft Tube or PCV Adapter Large Hole in the Rear, and NO Oil splash Baffle inside, they are Avanti R1 to R4 Only.
OPPS, yes the Valve Covers are Late 1960 to Early 1962, 2 Hole Covers that have been chrome plated,
Whoever Plated those got their P's and Q's all mixed up as we used to say, Definitely not a "Set".Last edited by StudeRich; 03-03-2021, 09:16 PM.StudeRich
