Model symbol and body number plate location?

    If you remove them there is no paint at all underneath; it is either bare metal or rust. I always remove them and paint them separately .

    Yes; and they were attached before the tub was painted. If you remove them, there should be primer underneath.

    This is the plate. I must have filled the holes. From your picture it looks like it goes on the upper ledge close to the low spot by the hinge.

    I agree and will add;
    1) it should be either 4H-C3 or 4H-C5,
    2) it should be painted the main body color (same as firewall).

    Look for two holes at the upper side of the passenger firewall, in the engine compartment.

    Two rather large Philips screws will affix it there.
