  • Cool/Heat: How to fit aluminum CJ5 radiator in a 1953/54 C/K body (hood wont close)

So I saw on here people use CJ5 aluminum radiators in their 1953 1954 C/K bodies (Champion/Commander). As you can see from photos, the CJ5 radiator is a bit taller but more importantly the shoulders are more square, rather than sloped. How do you make them fit: Drop radiator down? Have a radiator shop customize it? What's the fix.

I should have paid closer attention to this post - https://forum.studebakerdriversclub....or-interchange. I might go Datsun and get the electric fans since I want to put AC in the car.

That radiator will work fine on '56 up C-K cars but it is too tall for early ones with the lower hoods.

There are dozens of Strings/Posts here about using the "Jeep with a Chev. Engine" Radiators in Champ Trucks, Larks, Lark Types and Hawks, because that is ALL they fit.

Wizard Cooling makes a radiator that is a perfect fit. About $500
