  • Wheels / Tires: Will 63/64 Stude wheels fit a 1985 Avanti?

Are the wheel bolt patterns the same between a 63/64 Stude and an 85 Avanti? Will the wheels swap? Thanks

Regardless of the bolt pattern, the 63/64 rims are probably too narrow to safely run appropriate modern radials.

Same chassis, same body width (within a small amount), yes, same "wheel".

And radial tires should be on at least a 6" wide wheel (205 section)...but that wasn't part of your question..!

I guess that you are looking for something to move an 85 Avanti with. As stated, the bolt circle/pattern is the same between the two cars. Where you may come into a problem is in clearing the disc brakes and allowing the wheels to rotate.

Wasn't 85 or around there the era where they started using GM brakes, and corresponding bolt pattern? You better check to see if it still has 4.5" bolt pattern before going to all the trouble.
