Ok, I neglected to take a thorough-enough photo of my Lark engine bay when removing the engine.
Have one puzzle piece to figure out: its the throttle return spring as circled in the parts manual pic. If someone can shoot me a pic of where it connects at both ends, I’d appreciate it.
The stumper is how the teardrop “key” (p/n 0312-29) simply sits loose on the rod - what stops it from relocating itself up and down the rod? There is no jamb nut - only the clevis.
