  • Brakes: Disc Brake Caliper painting

I’m going to be powder coating the calipers of my dad’s’64 GT. (Black by the way)
Am I correct in assuming I shouldn’t coat the mounting flanges of the inner and outer wheel cylinders, or inner part of the mounting ears of the caliper?
Any other surfaces that shouldn’t be coated?

Yes, Definitely NOT the Bore of the Cylinders!

In my opinion, a much better choice would be the Very High Temp. Caliper Paint from Duplicolor Now the owner of the Original VHT Manifold Paint.

The Caliper (Saddle) and the 4 Cylinders were Aluminum Silver, and would not look good in a dark color like Black.
But, it's your Car and Money.
Many Car people have realized that Powder Coat is not "ALL THAT".
