    Does anyone know of a place to get these rubber bumpers that snap on to the bar

    I believe that most people just cut to length and slit the proper size hose.

      Could do that but don't know if I can get hose that thick. I guess it would not matter if the rubber was a smaller diameter

        The main thing is to prevent metal to metal contact. Location on the rod is important (align with the "bumps" on the cowl).

          Hood hinge, or door hinge? The ones on the hood hinge torsion bars are slit hose, I think.

            You might ask Studebaker International. Not all parts are necessarily listed in their catalog.
