I have a 51 Champ. My hood cable has only a wire near the lever. It looks like it should have some type of connector to attach it to the lever. Does anyone have a photo of the cable to the hood release?

I think he means the other end that goes into the hood latch housing and connects to the release lever.

There is a little clip that locks the 'L' shaped end in to the latch lever.

This is the clip that connects the cable to the lever. Part number 1902X3.
