  • 6 cylinder ignition-should I shield from weather?

Since the distributor on the Stude 6 is so low down on the block I wondered if these are prone to problems in wet weather. Should I form some kind of shield to protect it from water splashing up on it? My 64 is likely going to see a lot of rain and perhaps some snow.

Anyone have any experience with these ignitions in wet weather?

If the splash aprons are intact on the inner fenders these ignitions, if maintained, worked well in all weather conditions from 1937 until the present. I've never seen extra precautions taken because of the location of the distributor.
