Here's a '55...
The body line starts at the front of the front fender, continues into the door, then doubles back under the door handle and goes to near the bottom of the door.
Here's a '57 Silverhawk (same door as a '59).
The body line continues through the door from the front fender. No swoop.
If the '55 doesn't have the swoop...they are not '55 doors.

then it has been fitted with later doors, the scallop in the doors was used 53-56. 57 was the first year without them. Also be aware that the 53-55 cars used a square drive on the window handles while the later cars used a typical GM-type spline with a clip, so if you want to use the correct window handles you'll have to swap regulators between the doors.

I ended up buying the 55' this evening the doors do have the scallop in it si i will not be using them, but wow they have no rust at all. inside or out. the trunk lid is different but i may have to use it until i find one like my hawk. i bought it because there is no rust on the floorboards or trunk. i am planning on using the trunk pan and almost flawless quarter panels on my 59' i am told they will interchange?

quarters should be identical save for trim holes. Trunk floor may be subtly different, not sure. I know the '55 has one of the mounts for the gas tank going through the trunk floor and '59 gas tank is different.
Where are you? If you are near me (NoVA) I might be interested in taking the doors off your hands if you are going to part the whole car out.

Bit far for me... I just got a front valence for a '55 from a gentleman in CA (not Bob Peterson, someone else) for a good price, and he said he had the whole clip, but I'll be darned if I can remember his name *or* lay my hands on the invoice at the moment. Maybe someone can remember who it is? I got the tip from a thread here recently but my searches aren't coming up with it.
