    If you were the Production, (get 'er done) Power Train Painter, would YOU have it any OTHER Way?

    Sure why not, you want it all to Match right?

    I am sure you know the Electrical Components, Oil Cap, Air Cleaner came from suppliers already painted Semi to Gloss Black and were either covered, Masked (or installed later, <most likely).

    Some items even had a small amount of over-spray, like Factory installed Oil Filters, Fuel Pumps (< Bare) etc.

    The '47 to '54 Engine Color SHOULD have been, OLIVE Green, and as Jerry said, Aluminum Silver for '58 to '61, Fan to Trans. Tail.

    Some people refer to the ‘58 to ‘61 engine color as “silver” but I prefer to call it “aluminum.”

    Just curious what the factory engine color was on the flathead sixes in the early Larks?

    My 10G-W5 had a medium-dark green over head and block, but wasn’t sure if that carried into the 59S models?
