Other: Wiper cable

Does anyone have any experience with the vacuum wiper cable on a 51 champion. I’m getting the motor rebuilt. There’s a plastic slide on the top of the wiper motor. I took of two screws that held the slide together but the cable seems to be incorporated with the plastic piece. The cable goes through a small hole in firewall so it won’t slide through to the control knob.

Should only need to loosen the clamp screw holding the cable sheath and then just lift the cable out of the slot on the end of the slide control.
