So from a previous post I learned that the trunk of a 50 could have been body color or it could have some sort of brown coating sprayed in it depending on which factory it was built at.
Now for a more detailed question. The outer skin of the trunk lid had some sort of undercoating sprayed on its inside surface. It could been seen through the cutouts of the trunk lid inner structural support. Was this undercoating type stuff sprayed on and then painted body color, or was it sprayed after paint and left black or was it the brown color of the stuff coating the trunk of a car built at a particular plant?
