  • Fuel System: 53 Starliner tank sending unit wire connection screw spins

The screw to connect the wire to my sending unit just turns but does not come out. Any tips??

Is it stripped or is the female threaded insert turning too? If the latter, the connection to the rheostat is probably twisted off too.

Sorry, but it's Most likely DONE, just test it before trashing it.

I did test it, works but still can’t get screw out.

The CASO thing to do here is cut the wire and put a connector in it and leave the terminal alone.

The spade connector is broken off flush with the screw, wire is not connected. That’s why I was trying to get the screw out.

Maybe you could carefully apply super glue at the base of the insert, and let it soak in around it. This will obviously not work if you get glue anywhere on the screw or the spade connector. Good luck with it.
