  • Fuel System: identify carb

how do i identify a carb. has no plate or stamp. its on my 1960 hawk 289

    More info would help.

Is it the original carb? Is it a 2-bbl or 4-bbl? If a 2-bbl, it would have been a Stromberg. If a 4-bbl, then a Carter WCFB

Post a photo for more definitive help.

It if is CORRECT Original Factory equipment, it could only be a Bendix Stromberg Model WW 2 Brl. or a Carter WCFB 4 Brl.

The exact Sub-Model Version Number is not terribly important, all of us Studebaker Vendors stock just one correct Repair Kit for all Sub-Models.

On the 2 Brl's. the Sub-Model Number is Stamped Into the Top Half above the Fuel Inlet Fitting (Needle Seat).
