What is the difference between motor mounts on a 52 Commander and later cars? I have running 259 with a short transmission (pre 58) and since the 232 is frozen, I would like to install it and drive the car and in my (?) spare time rebuild the 232.

    Thanks

The engine bracket has a larger hole in it to allow the 2 piece earlier type mount with the thru-bolt. If you want later mounts you can use later brackets, and the later vulcanized single piece mounts with the studs on either end.

      Thanks Brad,

I have a 61 Lark V8 parts car so I can take the mounts out and put them in the 52 and it should work fine. Just a bit of work but the later style mounts seem to be easier to find the the 52.
