The one I am working on is too rotten and dented up to spend the money on for a re-core. Plus I have used aluminum radiators on other vehicles and they seem to work great.

Recently I purchase an aluminum radiator from Griffin Thermal Products, for my 55 Commander with Vintage air stock radiator won't fit. Griffin supplied an aluminum radiator with fan and shroud. Call them I'm sure they can get a direct fit for your car. Nor cheap but works perfect.

Some where in the archives is mention of using a aluminum radiator for a jeep cj to a Chevy v8 conversion. I believe all you needed to do was drill a couple new holes in the radiator support. They are cheap on ebay.

The parts book list # 1544780 for 58 W-F-P-Y-J and a different number for the C/K types.
Also, I have checked with Griffen for a 57 Hawk that I was working on and customer did not want to pay their price. Same customer for this 58.64 Champ long bed V8

I'd measure the old radiator and contact the people on ebay that sell the Jeep CJ V8 conversion Radiators. I used Classic Custom Cooling myself in a C-Cab truck. it worked fine, but shorter and I had to fab a custom lower hose (bent pipe and hose connectors)..
not sure on your commander, but they may have something that'll work for a CASO.

I generally find the ones I've used by measuring the size I need and then checking the usual suspects through Google. I've generally needed to add a bracket or have some plate Tigged to it but even with the extra I'm out for under $250.
Here's a listing from Summit Racing but there are many other sources.

Superior Radiator is the place I've bought two radiators (one for my 38 Chevy and the other for my 53 coupe), they are not the cheapest. They are NOT made in China like most of the "less expensive" radiators. They built the radiator for the Vintage Air, Jack Chisenhall Bonneville car, good for 200 MPH with the A/C on.

IIRC the only difference between later C/K cars and other, later Stude V8s is the lower spigot. It is further inboard on Larks and such. I believe they are interchangeable, with some accommodation for the lower hose. So the Jeep conversion radiator should work on most any Stude V8, including the OP's.
