  • Body / Glass: 53 C/K Trunk Hinge Question

Is the trunk supposed to close smoothly? Mine has a bit of a clunk as you swing it shut and the trunk sort of lurches forward just before it closes. Is that normal, or wear? Thanks

When a trunk lid clunks when opened or shut it is an indication the hinge pivot points are worn as in egged out from not having been periodically lubricated.

Yes, to your first question. Lubrication, adjustment and/or wear to your second question.

I think we're beyond lube at this time.
