  • Electrical: Need help identifiying dash light

I have a small dash light hanging down under the dash near the ignition switch. It is in a metal tube like it should bold somewhere. Anybody got an idea where it attaches. This is on a 62 GT. Thanks in advance for the help.

It bolts to the ignition switch. There should be a nylon ring behind the spring against the dash, and the light shines on it. Then the light is transferred to the small hole in the top of the chrome bezel that is the switch retainer. Thus illuminating the ignition key hole at night when the dash lights are turned on.

Thanks for the reply. Figured it must be for the ignition switch but I haven't been able to get the switch out.
