41 Champion bumper

Greetings to all here. I've been lurking around reading and reading and searching. I'm looking for a bumper (front) for my car. No one makes (repro) them and is looking grim finding a used one. I looked at 41 Chryslers and are similar but not quite. I thought about buying a old ford bumper and fabricating it into one. Any help would be appreciated.. -=robert=-

Keep looking, They are around, if you don't mind rechroming. The 41 bumper is vary pretty when done.

The 1941 Champion bumpers are [u]not</u> interchangeable with any other Studebaker. The M5 truck bumper is the same as the 1940 Commander and President.

Thanks for the info Steve. I have combed the Net looking to no avail. The Chrysler is the closest thing to the real thing. I'll take a good rusty one and have it rechromed. I'm going to have to make my own brackets anyways.

Now is the rear just like the front or is it just curved?

I wasn't sure. But I have several photos of 41's and they looked like the same F and R. Thanks again. -=robert=-
