Hello, I just bought a dash from a 41 Commander to put in my M-5. I have removed all the chrome from the dash except for the chrome trim that goes aroung the gauges and all the way across the dash. I can see how this piece comes off but was wondering about the little tabs or clips that I have to bend up in order to remove piece. How are they in the trim and are they replacable if some of them break off during removal and where would I find them. I want to send trim in for rechrome and am just thinking ahead. Thanks, Dennis

Before you get too far, you may want to take out the tape measure and check the width of the Commander dash against the one in your M5. I think the '41 Champion had the same "instrument board" but the Commander and President cars used one that may be about two inches wider. Most of the trim and accessories may fit the M5 dash. I think the extra length is to the left of the gauge cluster and right of the glove box. Let us know what you find.

Hey Gary, Thanks for the info. You seved me a lot of work. You are exactly right. The 41 dash is wider. It looks the same at a glance but not. I can still use the trim pkg. but not the dash itself. Thanks for the help. Dennis
