I am going to be replacing a stuck engine in a '55 champion (with automatic transmission) with a running engine from a '52 champion with three speed and overdrive. I am assuming the new motor mounts should match the year of the car of the install ('55) and not from the year of the engine and tranny ('52). Correct?

In case anyone is wondering, I know I need to replace the steering column and the linkage.

I'd test-fit the engine in place first, but I think you are right. You probably need to use the '55 mounts because of differences in the metal frame brackets.
