    I went to reinstall my hood (57 GH) and one of the studs (to attach the hinge arms to) is missing!
    It looks like they were press fit in before the corners were welded in.

    I have a shoulder bolt that I have cut off the head from and am ready to weld it in to the old hole, then decided to look on the forum to see if someone had come up with a better idea.

    I couldn't find anything, so has anyone run into this problem before? How did you solve it?

    Another idea is to insert a steel rivet nut, then loctite in a stud.
