Originally delivered to Indianapolis Studebaker,Bill's R2 is back in the midwest!
My uncle was a pretty serious Stude dude at one time and bought this one in '74 from the original owner, attending many SDC events in SoCal in the '70's and early '80's.
Sitting in pieces for more than 20 years,it has recenty been put back together and needs a couple more bugs worked out of her. We were able to get together on a price and I have been working on it for a couple of week now. It has a fresh engine, tranny and blower.(And lots of parts from Meyers!)
This is my first plastic car and has PW,Tilt,AM-FM and just one pedal on the left.
Tomorrow I hope to put a few miles on it for a taste of what should be a long and beautiful relationship!

Gee Bill, if this is your first 'plastic' car, you must not have any new cars at all. After all, every maker went to mostly plastic between five and ten years ago. Just kidding.

Hope you enjoy it. An Avanti is a sweet running (and driving for that matter) car.

Welcome to the Funny Farm, I mean[:I], support group, I mean[:I], club. That's right, that's what I meant to say[:I], welcome to the club.
