As Wayen indicated, I would live with it for a while.

It was rearched and the inserts I am refering to is the plastic liners.Everything is very firm. I don't like the jacked up look. The bushings and all were replaced.

My 61 was the same way when it left the shop after having the springs re-arched. After about 300-400 miles it settled to an acceptable height.

By "incerts", do you mean bushings?
Were the leaves re-arched or any of them replaced?

    started a topic Rear springs

    Rear springs

while I had the 61 hawk out I noticed the car is jacked up in the back( I had the rear leafs worked on and new incerts installed) Where I had a little clearance issue before on the passenger side rear now I don't have any trouble getting the tire on. Will the body come back down to earth or will I have to live with this? The front springs are the same hight however they are very sturdy. The ride was very comfortable.

    Studebakers forever!
Working...
