    The easiest and most elegant way would be to buy a disc brake kit that actually fits and works properly. To even have to deal with this problem is ridiculous.

      It's a Turner brake kit. I thought those were the "best" of all the off-the-shelf kits? Anyway, they probably fit just fine with the original hubs, but weren't "engineered" to fit the flanged axle?

        I believe you hit the nail on the head there Allan.
        The disc brake kit was around for a long time before the axle kit came out.
