Reinstalling driveshaft

I need to put the driveshaft back in the Lark but I've never done this. How do I proceed? I know to slide the output shaft back in the trans first, but what do I do after that at the back end?

Have you replaced the u-joint at the rear of the shaft? If not, are the cups and all needle bearings intact on the old u-joint?

Slide the intact u-joint cups in to the saddle of the differential input shaft. Make certain they are snug and fully seated. Slip the u-bolts over the cups and in to the saddle flanges. Install new lock washers and nuts. Use a 1/2" wrench to snug them down. (Someone here will recommend a torque). Lubricate the u-joint.

No, U-joint has not been replaced, yes, cups and bearings are intact.

Thank you for the how-to! Just needed to know if there were any "gotchas" to look out for. Sounds simple.
