  • boy those rear fender caps don't fit well do they?

    I am referring to those caps (filler pieces ) under the 64-65-66 tail lights on the Lark types.
    How are yours for fitment and alignment with the body lines?

    They don't fit the body at all. They look like a bad afterthought. Which of course, they were. [xx(]

      AND how much did they add to the cost of each vehicle? Ford or GM could have afforded to remake the quarter panel stamping die. Studebaker just could not afford the expense of a new die.

        Today, I looked at these pieces on my two daily driver '64 Cruisers and the '64 Commander parts car that I have. The filler caps fit tight and even, without any gaps. I don't see anything wrong with them. Perhaps Studebaker only shipped their best cars to Alaska
