  • changing the front pulley ??'s

    Hi All,
I'm adding A/C to my '60 Hawk which has a single pulley. I have a 3 pulley setup off a '61 engine which I want to put on as I also have a P/S setup from the same '61 that I'll add later. To accomplish this, I will have to pull the pulley hub to change to the longer hub/pulley bolts and while that's off I'll install a new seal in the timing cover. Would normal procedure be to replace the rubber cushion pads that go on either side of the vibration damper flywheel?
Also, if there is anything else I should be aware of for this little project, please let me know.
    Thanks - Mr Mike

Upon inspection, if the rubber looks good forget about replacing it. Mine was ok. jimmijim

Do you have the correct water pump pulley(s)? The AC pulley for the water pump is very hard to find.

You will need the longer bolts from the '61 Hub for the hub/damper/pulleys. If you have to purchase them...get Grade 8's and use lock washers and BLUE Lock-Tite on them.
