  • Rear Exhaust Hangers, 58 Golden Hawk

    Does anyone have a picture or something of the rear hangers on the exchaust for 58 Hawk... back by the tips.
    Also Earlier Hawks show supports up by engine. How about 58..
    Any help would be greatly appreciated as usual.

        You'll find a hole inside the U channel behind the trunk, just use a bolt and nut on top, muffler clamp on the bottom.

            yup, easy as it looks. It's only 55-57 cars that use that funky hanger on the driver's side.

            I believe that the factory *clamps* on the hangers weren't the U-bolt style but were a C-shaped clamp like used on 80's VW's. I don't know a good source for correct looking ones. I just used stainless hose clamps on my '55 so that there wouldn't be anything ugly hanging below the pipes.
