Differences among front wheel hubs?

Are front wheels hubs the same on all '56 and up cars? I don't have a parts book handy, but I was told that they are all the same--didn't matter if the car was a 6 or and 8 and that even the disc brake hubs weren't different.

But within those periods no difference between 6 and 8 cyl models, correct?

The disc brake version appears to be serviced as a hub-disc unit.

Even though the disc appears different...the basic hub is the same, just machined on the opposite..or back side for the disc. The Avanti disc's are put on the back side rather than the "normal" front side of the hub.
Either can be made to work just by machining the other side of the hub from what you have.
