I've been running the same tires now for several years.
Wear on the front's was 'uneven'.
Probably due to all that bad geometry a hot rod clip brings with it.
So today I took the truck over to my local tire guy and we were 'chatting' (not a Jawjuh term
).
I didn't learn much new, except today's tire sales buzz words.
But we did start pulling out tires and comparing aspect ratio's.
I wanted a slightly wider front tire, but without an increase in diameter.
Ended up going from a P/205/75R/15 to a P215/70/R15
Almost looks identical, except there is a slightly wider footprint on the ground.
Man, the new 'puter balancing machines sure are nice.
I am going to a local show tomorrow and have to paint the wheel where they removed one weel weight, and paint the wheel weight they added on the other wheel.
Driving home was sweet. It is amazing that you can feel the difference new tires make right away...
By the time I got to the garage, the new tire looked as old and dirty as the old one.
That's a good thing, because total spousal disclosure had not occued prior to my arrival home.
