  • 1960 Lark VIII 4 Door Measurements Pls!

    Hello!
If anyone out there has a Lark handy, would you mind measuring it for me?
I'm waiting to get mine towed here, can't reach the person bringing it. I have to see if it will fit in a double garage with a 74 Vette. I have to figure out the length and the width with one door open. If I ding my friends' Vette they'll kill me. Plus I'm building them shelves so in this case size does matter...

    Thank you so much!

The front door on a 4 door is about 38 3/4", fully opened it measures about 34" out perpendicular to the body. If you use the metric system thats 98.43 cm and 86.36 cm respectively. The width of the body is about 67" (170.2 cm). This is kinda hard to do in the dark by yourself, my arms aren't long enough to measure the length of the car, hope that helps

I'll try to remember to measure the length of my '60 4 door tomorrow and post it.

The length is very close to 15 ft. if you are not counting inches!

          Thank you!
I just measured 15' and that's half the width of my upstairs!
(Unless you were talking about the garage I think thats a bit big - but thank you still)

Didn't mean to quote that...ANYWAY - Studerich, I am completely sorry! And a little shocked. I just got the guy I bought it from to measure it and you're dead on. I had to go measure my truck just to compare, and it's 15' too! Hmm.. Seemed so much smaller when I was standing next to it. Well, thank you all again!

Theory: (# 56 in a series to be developed)

Barns and/or garages are always smaller than envisioned; whereas cars are always longer and wider than we remember them to be.

                Good luck with your project.
