What is the problem with using brake line for a fuel line? [?]

If you're talking about 3/16" brake line, that's too small for proper fuel delivery. V-8's would probably suffer from fuel starvation. And I don't think I've seen any 5/16" brake line. 5/16" should be the smallest size for fuel line on 6 cyls, and standard 2bbl carb V-8's. 3/8" would be the choice for 4bbl 289's and especially for the R series engines.
