  • carb info on 52 2r10

I am going through my new 2r10 and the carb on it is a "monroe by Chevrolet" does this make sense or did the farmer put what he had available on the motor...I think the motor is original, are they originally painted orange?

A sort of a olive drab was the engine color.

just found the casting numbers on the block...it is either a 230 or 250 chevrolet motor...explains the welding done on the mounts and the clutch set up.
