  • Trying to I.D my 259

I checked the reference pages on this site to determine what year my 259 is (or if it really is a 259). The number stamped on the block is V569050 which I can't seem to I.D.Maybe I looked in the wrong location and this is the sequence number of the car it was put into. The head casting number is 1557570 which also has me confused as the reference guide says "standard R1 casting but also used on other engines".
Any clues to what this engine is?
    Thanks
    Todd

The way it's formatted I also find that engine ID chart can be a little bit hard to read sometimes. Both your numbers though are correct for a 1963 259.
