  • Door & Floor & Kick Panel

The materials that are used for the kick panels, under the carpet and for the door panels. What are their proper names and where can one buy bulk material.

The under carpet material is a strong tar like black material that appears to have fiberglass in it. Appears to be the same material used as a splash panel under the hood.

    Thank you... Buddy...

For under the carpet, there is a neat solution on another thread that's going now on Technical Talk. Its called "Sound silencing and a comfortable ride." Sorry, I haven't figured out how to link to another thread. Henry Votel uses some stuff called "ProtectoRoof" sheeting. I haven't tried it, but it looks like a neat solution for soundproofing and carpet pad. It sounds pretty reasonable.
For kick panels, if you want it to look nice, be durable, but don't care if its stock, Formica is tough to beat. Its far superior to the stock pressboard, and its pretty easy to work with. There was another thread not too long ago on door panel backing. You should be able to search for that using that term.
