  • The OHV 185...how many have tried...

    Just wondering...

I bought a 185 crank and a extra full flow Ohv six block years ago to build one of these and never finished for a number of reasons.

Who else has tried this build and how did it all turn out.

I'm not sure the engine gods want me to have one. They just want me to collect parts that won't play together.

I wonder if the head can take the extra combustion heat w/o cracking. I've heard of a couple people that tried it. They couldn't keep the heads together. It would be nice if they could though.. the extra power.

I was doing some spring cleaning today and found an old legal pad in a box with all my notes on parts needed to build my OHV 185.

On one of the pages was scribbled a date; 8-26-96

I have been working (?) on this since 1996!!!????

        Hmmm
