63 Hawk GT rear antenna Install HELP

Found this Hawk Mount on Ebay and local FLAPS had a mast that fit it fine. Now
I need to know the position on the rear deck lid. Anyone have one already installed?
If so , please give me the hole positions relative to the front lip of the trunk deck lid.
Also, what kind of fasteners go on the lugs. It's going to hurt me to drill the holes('[V]')

look on the SDC website. They were supposed to post access to the templates used to mount accessories.

Thanks Doug, I looked through the list of templates but didn't see it listed.
There was a "cowl" Antenna but I don't think that is the Hawk's rear antenna.

Thank you Matthew. I'll look forward to your measurements. Also , please look at the
bottom and see what fasteners are used. It looks like they are push-on spring
( Tinnermann?) nuts from the shape of mounting lugs.

I just took a pitted one of those off a '62 Hawk trunk lid on Sunday. The nuts are those stamped sheet metal things that I call "Pal Nuts?" Similar to what holds the hood ornament on a '64 Lark type.

Mine had a chrome half globe on top, with interior threads and opposing holes for a spanner. Had to unscrew that in order to remove the angled antenne lead before we could get the lugs to come out of their holes.

If Matthew does not get to it first, let me know and I'll measure you the holes and their locations on my lid.

A little earlier than tomorrow, but here ya go. The car is a low miles, early '63, and the antennae is original to the car.



Roughly 6 1/2 inches from the edge of the deck lid to the front of the antennae mount.





Here's the nuts. Same as the 62-66 Lark hood ornaments.






This one has the chrome dome as well.

Yes, those instructions are posted on the new site. It's AC-2886, and you probably missed it because it's erroneously listed as '58 cars + Packard Station Wagons.
(I wonder what that would look like on a wagon?)

Many thanks to Matthew and others. This is all ail need to cut the holes and mount a
rear antenna... What a great group here on the forum !!! Anyone of you coming to or through
Santa Barbara-send me an E-mail and lunch is on me..

Here it is guys!! Thanks to Matthew for the measurements and my new chassis punch
hole cutters, I got a clean install. The mast recedes into the trunk so I can use my
weather cover--not that there's much weather in Santa Barbara.
